| 毅行者每年一度接受體力及心智考驗,以最佳時間完成全長一百公里的麥理浩徑 ─ 由西貢北潭涌至元朗大棠。雖然行程充滿傷、痛,不少毅行者仍年復年地參與,皆因此活動可令其獲得人生一寶貴經驗,亦可能改變他們對生命的領悟及體會。所有毅行者必須於四十八小時內完成一百公里的麥理浩徑,最快隊伍約須十四小時便可行畢全程。以下為香港醫學會毅行者過往最佳成績: |

Trailwalker 2011 will be held from 18 - 20 November 2011 at the MacLehose Trail. Your Association is taking part in the walk for the 18th year. Trailwalker is not an easy event. Participants must have a reasonable level of fitness and adequate training in order to cover the hilly 100 km MacLehose Trail. Their practicing sessions will start from July 2011 till October 2011. If you are interested, you are most welcome to join the practice sessions no matter you are a trailwalker or not. Please do inform Ms. Dorothy KWOK at 2527 8285 beforehand.

Remarks:
(1) The training sessions on 23.7.11, 7.8.11 and 21.8.11 will be led by experienced
Trailwalkers who will be sharing their experience with fellow walkers on the
way.
(2) Only covers the first half of Stage 5
(3) Leaving the NEW MacLehose Trail after distance post no. 174 and finishing
at Tai Tong
(4) High risks of heat stroke and dehydration
A session
will be automatically called off if any of the following warnings are issued
by the Hong Kong Observatory anytime between 2 hours before the session starts
and the end of the session:
(1) Thunderstorm warning
(2) Amber, red or black rainstorm warning signal
(3) No. 8 gale or storm signal
