Past visits organized by the Outreach Team for the Elderly
Event Date: 18 February 2017 (Saturday)
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Podium of Hing Wah Estate II, Chai Wan

The second home visit was organized on Saturday, 18 February 2017. A total of 51 Outreach Ambassadors from the "Outreach Team for the Elderly" visited 36 elders living Hing Wah Estates I & II. The elders were very excited to see the Outreach Ambassadors again!

We are happy to have Hong Kong Credible Care Volunteers Association Limited (HKCCVA) (香港卓護義工協會) and Community Health And Medication-safety Promotion Inter-school Outreach Network (CU CHAMPION) (香港中文大學醫學院社區健康及藥物安全外展隊) to join as the Project's Collaborating Partners. In order to identify elders with potential health problems, voluntary nurses from the HKCCVA and members of CU CHAMPION were invited to conduct health check-ups including glucose, blood pressure and Body Mass Index monitoring as well as SaO2 measurement for the elders. In addition, they advised the elders on drug safety during home visits.

The Outreach Team will continue to conduct health check-ups and health education in the coming visits. Please join us to live up to HKMA's motto: "To Safeguard the Health of the People"!
