The second Nursing course titled "Home Safety" of the Health Academy for the Elderly was held on Thursday, 2 March 2017 at the Youth Square. Ms. CHOI Shui Ha, Ellen, Occupational Therapist of Richmond Fellowship of Hong Kong was invited to talk about the importance of Home Safety. Ellen provided a lively and interesting lecture in which different potential dangers at home were presented. Besides, all participants were invited to complete a home safety checklist with the aim at helping them to understand the safety issues at home and raising their awareness on home safety. Ellen also demonstrate some fall prevention exercises that help reducing the risk of fall injuries.
