Past visits organized by the Outreach Team for the Elderly
Event Date: 18 March 2017 (Saturday)
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Podium of Hing Wah Estate II, Chai Wan

In the past 2 months, the "Outreach Team for the Elderly" conducted health and home safety assessments for 43 elderly households living in Hing Wah Estates I & II during home visits, in which 80% of them were found did not use non-slip mats in their bathrooms. In addition, quite a number of them have kept a considerable quantity of expired medicines at home.

The Outreach Team was therefore helping to distribute the non-slip mats to the elders in need during home visits on Saturday, 18 March 2017 and educate them on falls prevention. Besides, our collaborating partners, the Hong Kong Credible Care Volunteers Association Limited and CU CHAMPION were invited to conduct health check-ups for the elderly, and they also helped the elderly to check the expiry dates of their drugs and educated them of proper way on drug storage.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest gratitude to 3M Hong Kong Limited for donating 40 pieces of non-slip mats for the elderly.
