The "Carers Support Workshops"
began on Saturday, 22 April 2017. One of the objectives
of the workshops is to provide a platform for carers to
establish a mutual help network. To achieve such objective,
participants were invited to join the BINGO group game
in order to familiarize with each other. Besides, two
videos on carers taking care of their family members were
played and the participants were later on invited to review
their happiness and distress during their caring journey
as a carer. Just before the session ceased, participants
completed a self-assessment on carers' stress level. The
results of this self-assessment would be one of the indicators
for us to learn more about the carers' stress level throughout
the two years programme. The "Carers Support Workshops"
consists of 4 categories which include, "Understanding
the Diseases and Emotional Management of Patients with
Chronic Diseases", "Exercises and Diet",
"Emotion Management & Support of Carers"
and "Community Resources and Social Relationship"
for carers to learn to keep themselves and their families
