The Hong Kong Medical Association MediLink toll-free telephone hotline, sponsored by HKT, will be in operation again to provide information about access to medical consultation during the 4-day Chinese New Year Holiday from 16 to 19 February 2018.
The MediLink telephone hotline operates in 3 languages: Cantonese, Putonghua and English. Members of the public can access the MediLink hotline service by calling 90000-222-322 to obtain the telephone numbers of doctors who will provide medical consultations during the holidays. In the MediLink, doctors' information is grouped into 18 geographic districts. Callers can choose their preferred districts as instructed. The MediLink hotline information is also available from the HKMA website at www.hkma.org.
For the 4-day Chinese New Year Holiday, a total of 97 private medical practitioners, 12 private hospital outpatient departments and 12 public clinics registered with the MediLink will be offering medical consultation services.
The MediLink telephone hotline was first launched in December 1995 with the sponsorship of HKT.
The Hong Kong Medical Association, founded in 1920, aims to bring together Hong Kong's government, institutional, university and private medical practitioners for an effective exchange of views and co-ordination of efforts. The foremost objective of the Association is to safeguard and promote public health.
